Friendly Kids of Weston
Friendly Kids of Weston: A 4th & 5th Grade Musical Theater Experience is a unique opportunity for Weston fourth and fifth graders guided by theater instructors from The Weston Friendly Society of the Performing Arts to rehearse and perform in their own musical theater production. We welcome students of any experience level who wish to learn about acting, singing, dancing, and working together as a group to present a youth-friendly, author-approved, condensed version of a Broadway musical theater show or a favorite modern work.

The Lion King KIDS tells the story of the epic adventures of a curious cub named Simba as he struggles to accept the responsibilities of adulthood and his destiny as king. Along the way, the young lion encounters a colorful cast of characters including spunky lioness Nala, charismatic meerkat Timon, and loveable warthog Pumbaa. To claim his rightful place on the throne and save his beloved Pridelands, Simba must find his inner strength and confront his wicked Uncle Scar. The Lion King KIDS features classic songs from the 1994 film such as “Hakuna Matata” as well as additional songs penned for the Broadway production.
