"The classic heartwarming story of fathers and daughters, husbands and wives, and life, love and laughter."- www.broadway.com
Set in the little village of Anatevka, this beloved, award-winning musical is based on stories by Sholem Aleichem with music by Broadway legends Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick. The story centers on Tevye, a poor milkman, his wife Golde, their five daughters and the entire tight-knit community in which they live as they fight to maintain traditional values in the face of changing social norms and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia. This score is famous for such recognizable tunes as "To Life", "Matchmaker", "If I were a Rich man" and "Tradition".
