Audition Information

Adults (age 16+):

• ​Auditions for all adult roles will be June 1 at Weston United Methodist Church and June 3 at Weston Town Hall. 
• Adults MUST sign up for an audition slot.​
• Adults MUST complete an audition form before auditioning.
• Callbacks are by invitation only on June 4 at Weston Town Hall after children auditions.
• In general, rehearsals will be Tuesday evenings, Thursday evenings, and Sunday afternoons in Weston, MA. 
• Rehearsals are set to start on September 17, 2023.

Children (age 8-15):

• Auditions for Susan Waverly as well as the Children's Singing Ensemble will be June 4 at 3pm at Weston Town Hall.  
• Children should NOT sign up for an audition slot.  All children should arrive at 3 and plan to stay until about 4:30pm.
• An audition form for all children MUST be filled out before auditioning at Weston Town Hall at 3pm.
• Children ensemble rehearsals will be every Sunday starting October 1st. 
• If cast as Susan Waverly, additional rehearsal time will be required on some Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Sundays.

Information for EVERYONE:

• You should prepare to sing 16-32 bars of a song in the style of the show. Please do not sing from the show. An accompanist will be provided.  Please bring your sheet music in the correct key.
• Auditions will consist of a singing audition followed by a brief group dance call. Please bring tap shoes if you have them.

• Everyone is expected to attend tech week November 25 - December 1 and all performances December 2, 3, 8 & 9.
• All rehearsal dates and times are subject to change.

Weston Friendly Society of the Performing Arts is dedicated to finding the most respectful, talented, team-oriented, caring and dedicated individuals to cast in its shows.  Casting is independent of race, gender, age and creed where such things make no difference to the story being told.  

About Irving Berlin's White Christmas:
Based on the beloved, timeless film, this heartwarming musical adaptation features 17 Irving Berlin songs and a book by David Ives and Paul Blake.

Veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis have a successful song-and-dance act after World War II. With romance in mind, the two follow a duo of beautiful singing sisters en route to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge, which just happens to be owned by Bob and Phil's former army commander. With a dazzling score featuring well-known standards including “Blue Skies,” “I Love A Piano,” “How Deep Is the Ocean” and the perennial title song, White Christmas is an uplifting, wholesome musical that will delight audiences of all ages.
